Do I have to make attention grabbing titles?

From reading about writing for the web

It seems that reading of the web pages is so different from that of an ordinary book that different ways of writing for the web need to be considered. The first one is that Your heads and subheads should be short, to the point, and attention grabbers.

So I'll give it a go and see how I feel about it.

I finished looking at Janni Black's excellent Blogger videos and have added a visitor map. There is a pages gadget on there, but I am still trying to work out what to do with it.

What I plan to do next?

Will continue working on new ideas to try with Blogger. Came across 31 days to better blogging which I will have a look at. Sue Waters tried this at the start of 2008 and has some good comments on what she gained from it.

Would anyone reading this be interested in setting this up as a group to try together? Please let me know in your comments if you might be interested.

Otherwise, I will still be trying some of the tasks with wikieducator and the PBwiki 7 day challenge.

Finally, I just came across a five day start to social networking on one of Sue Waters sites. But too tired to find it right now.

That's all for tonight folks. I am realising that reading the blogs of others can be hard yakker.

Excitement - read all about it!

I can see who is looking at my blog

Thanks to Janni Black for her helpful comments and also pointing me towards the widget called Feedjit that lets you see who has been to your site.

Two wiki sites have come up during my browsing of the last couple of days:
  1. wikieducator.org - this site develops your wiki skills and also encourages you to become part of one of their many projects around the world.
  2. supportblogging.com - is one that I found today that leads off to several other sites such as Classroom 2.0
Blog Role has been added!
I'm off to bed now. Will continue this in the morning.

At last, Christmas is over!

Where is the balance between researching and doing?
Since my last post I have been looking at Edublogs, Blogger and Wordpress. Looking is the main word. I feel that I have spent too much time on thinking and not enough on action.

So I am going back to blogger and revise a few tutorials. Web sites that I will go back to are:
Geeks on tour
Transitioning to Web 2.0 and
Sue Water’s blog — HELPING OTHERS

I will let you know how it goes and what I find that suits me. So as Dad used to say, "Here goes us."

Templates and widgets
I would like to have a three column template. Instructions are here at this website. This is something I could try, but would mean getting sidetracked again.

Adding Images
Nothing worth looking at right now.

Medium in
the middle

Right now I have to drag and drop the image to the location. It is also giving me a message for crook html that is broken when I try to shift it.
